Aurora Township Dial-A-Ride is a door-to-door handicapped accessible transportation service with lift-equipped vehicles that operates Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. with extended hours for dialysis patients.
We have seven (7) full-time Dial-A -Ride routes currently operating in Aurora Township during the week.
One Dial-A-Ride vehicle operates Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. but is limited to medical appointments only.
Who is eligible?
If you are 60 or older and/or physically/mentally disabled and live within 2 miles of the Aurora Township boundaries, then most likely, you qualify for our service.
What are the pick-up and destination points?
The points of pick-up and destination are limited to the same area as our service boundaries, which include Aurora, North Aurora, Montgomery, and Boulder Hill.
We provide periodic trips to shopping areas such as the Westfield Mall, the Chicago Premium Outlet and the Randall Road Shopping Corridor.
What is the cost to use Dial-A-Ride?
The cost is $1.00 each way per-person (plus a surcharge of $1.00 each way for trips with a pick-up and/or destination outside Aurora Township boundaries). The fare round-trip is never more than $4.00.
How much notice does Dial-A-Ride need?
Medical appointments should always be scheduled as soon as possible. Do not hesitate to call and schedule a ride even if your appointment is still 1 or 2 months away.
